Required information
  • ETo = Reference evapotranspiration (mm/day)
  • Kc = Crop coefficient
  • Ews = Water system efficiency
  • TAW = Total available water (mm)
  • RAW = Readily available water (mm)
Formula used by IrrigEasy
  • Water needs = Kc x Eto
  • Planned = (planned irrigations) x Er
  • Real = Topen x Er

Results are always given rounded up.

🎯 Purpose of the feature​

The purpose of the ‘Water Balance‘ tab is to help you quantify the water requirements of your crops as accurately as possible. in order to that you can enter your agronomic information such as ETo, Kc, and other coefficients taken into account in the water balance calculation, and see the calculation results for each period.

📝 Step by step procedure​

  1. Click on the ‘Water balance’ tab in the ‘Irrigation’ section of the left-hand side menu.
  2. Select the water network of your choice using the selector at the top right of your screen.
  3. Click on ‘Parameters’ at the top right of your screen.
  4. Select the period you want to use : Week (7 days) or Decade (10 days)
  5. Enter or edit all the required informations.
  6. Click on ‘Save’ at the top right of your screen to validate and launch run the calculation.
